The Sailing Dreams Story

Founded in Barcelona in 2004:
built on the simple idea to share the parts of the Mediterranean we love.

For David Cochs, the founder of Sailing Dreams, the Balearics have always been more than a destination.

Growing up in Barcelona, he began travelling to the islands as a young boy, discovering the coves, beaches and small coastal communities that most visitors never see.

That connection, combined with a lifelong love of sailing, became Sailing Dreams — a charter company created specifically around a simple idea: to share the Mediterranean he knows and loves with others.

David's perspective also comes from years spent travelling through Asia, the Americas and beyond. Those experiences shaped his belief that the most memorable journeys aren't about ticking off destinations, but about discovering places through people, food and culture, with the guidance of locals who genuinely know them.

Based in Barcelona and spending his summers sailing the Balearics, David and his team at Sailing Dreams bring decades of local knowledge to every charter: from Ibiza and Formentera to Mallorca and Menorca.

Sailing Dreams isn't about following the standard itinerary. It's about finding the right boat, following the conditions and showing you the places that made David fall in love with these islands in the first place.

Sailing Dreams — discover the Mediterranean with someone who knows it.
